Sde Varburg

Moshav (Agricultural Union) in the Sharon region, 2 km north of Kfar Saba. Sde Warburg is named after the agronomist Otto Warburg (1859 - 1938), the third president of the Zionist Federation. Founded in 1938 by immigrants from Germany, as part of the stockade and tower settlements, it began as a moshav shitufi (cooperative settlement). The moshav has estates of around 9 dunams and an additional 20 dunams, auxiliary farms of 1.5 - 3 dunams, and expansion plots of around 500 square meters.
