Avichail

Moshav (Moshav Movement) in the Sharon region, 4 km north of Netanya. The name is symbolic, and was also the name of Queen Esther's father. The moshav was founded in 1932 as part of the Settlement of the Thousand by veterans of the Jewish Legion. It merged in 1945 with the neighboring moshav, Ein Oved (founded in 1933 by agricultural workers), and is home to the Jewish Legion museum, which describes the history of the Hebrew Brigades that served in the British Army during World War One. The moshav has estates and auxiliary farms. Estates range between 3 - 4 dunams each in Parcel A and approximately 20 additional dunams, and auxiliary farms on parcels of between 2 - 3 dunams.
